Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Residential Solar Sales Consultant to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate leads, educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, and close sales for residential solar system installations. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional passionate about renewable energy and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through door-to-door canvassing, referrals, networking, and company-provided leads.
• Customer Consultation: Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess customer needs, evaluate property suitability for solar installations, and present tailored solar solutions.
• Education and Engagement: Clearly explain the financial, environmental, and practical benefits of solar energy, including tax incentives, rebates, and financing options.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including system design, cost estimates, and projected energy savings.
• Sales Closure: Negotiate contracts, secure agreements, and maintain a high closing rate while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Follow-Up: Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale to system activation.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in solar technology to effectively position our products.
• CRM Management: Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to track leads, update customer interactions, and report sales activities.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in solar, home improvement, or related industries.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Skills:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with homeowners.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Basic understanding of solar energy systems or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attributes:

• Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure (OTE $80,000–$180,000 annually, depending on performance).
